Ask (Questions)
ASK is a native Joomla 1.6 & 1.7 Component that allows integration of functionality similar to Y!Answers or Quora to your Joomla 1.6 or 1.7 site.
UPDATE 29/10/2011: ASK v0.9.5 has been released and will be the last beta version of this component.
IMPORTANT NOTE Please use the component’s configuration page before using this extension in order to configure ACLs and Misc Settings. Otherwise error messages may appear due to the absence of configuration.

ASK is currently to beta version v0.6.4 and offers basic features as below:
- ACL Based Rights
- Submit Questions from both frontend and backend
- Submit Answers from both frontend and backend
- Multilanguage support
- Categories (integration with com_categories of joomla 1.6)
- Facebook support (Like, Share)
- GRAVATAR integration
- IP logging
- Tags support
- Default publishing state options & misc configurations
- CAPTCHA Integration
- Vote answers
- Choose best answer
There are also some modules to be created in order to display recent questions & answers and the questions’ categories, as well as a plugin to provide search functionality.
ASK is still in beta and your feedback will be highly appreciated. Please feel free to open any issues you may encounter at the project’s issue tracker at https://github.com/alexandrosd/Ask/issues. Proposals for additional features are welcome, too.
